What’s Up CrackBerry Fam?
Yes, I know… it’s been FOREVER since I’ve fired off an update and you’ve all lost faith in the CrackBerry 2.0 relaunch promise.
If that’s the case, I don’t blame you… but let me just remind you that instead of writing about things in 2023 I’ve spent this year building things that will be super exciting to talk about as we finish the year and head into 2024.
I don’t want to over hype and under deliver though (been there done that), so we’ll get the CB party and hype train started again once we actually have some fun things *in hand* to talk about. That said, I do think you’ll be surprised by what’s to come.
In the meantime, I come with a peace offering… in the way of an awesome CrackBerry contest courtesy of our friends at Punkt.
Enter to Win a Punkt MPO2 Phone and AC02 Alarm Clock!
While Punkt gets ready to unveil it’s full touch device running Apostrophy OS, the Punkt team was kind enough to hook me up with one of their MP02 phones and AC02 alarm clocks to give away. Just jump over to CrackBerry on the link below and leave a comment for your chance to win.
Is Apostrophy the BlackBerry 10 successor we've all been waiting for?
Speaking of Apostrophy, we’re starting to get a better idea of what it’s all about. This past week the company fired off a newsletter to its subscribers giving some updates on what’s to come (sign up at aphy.io to be kept in the loop), and company CEO Steve Cistulli was interviewed on the Mobile Tech Podcast about what the company is cooking up.
Back at CES in January I dropped an article pondering if Apostrophy is the BlackBerry 10 successor we’ve all been waiting for? Between my past writings and these latest updates I think the answer is both Yes and No.
Apostrophy is doing something very different from what BlackBerry was doing with BlackBerry 10, but I DO THINK it’s going to APPEAL to a lot of people out there who have a more principled approach to both how big tech should work and their personal relationship with technology and data. Be sure to hit up the link below to listen to the podcast - the interview starts right off the hop and lasts about 15 minutes.
What phone are you using these days?
Before I let you go, I’m curious to know what phones you’re all rocking these days… Are you on the iPhone bandwagon? Team Pixel? Rocking a foldable? Or are you clinging on to your old BlackBerry KEY2 or battling with your thumbs on a Unihertz Titan Slim? If either of the latter.. that’s awesome - we all know pushing buttons is the BEST.
Let me know in the comments!
And until next time,
KEVIN OUT!
Great to see more crackberry content anything I can get my hands on I'll take it! Good to see you alive and kicking CBK!
I'm team Pixel! Rocking the 6A currently nice little budget device does all I needed to do but those foldables are looking mighty attractive.
Glad to see you CBK! 🙌
I'm using an iOS device.
1. Google's inability to have a cohesive messaging app, and their lack of support for Google Workspace users got me to move to Apple. (Example: The latest Google Pay app now works with Workspace accounts, but it took them more than a whole year to roll that out.)
2. Apple's Reminders app has in-app search. Google Tasks does *not*. Isn't Google a search company?
